How long should khinkali be boiled?
The product is lowered into boiling salted water. All the time the khinkali are cooking they need to be stirred gently so that they do not sink to the bottom. The cooking time depends on several factors:
- Freshly molded halves are cooked for about 7 minutes. If the family prefers particularly large khinkali, it is better to increase the time by a couple more minutes.
- Frozen khinks require less attention, since you only need to stir them at the beginning of cooking. But they cook for a little longer - about a quarter of an hour.
- Using a mantovar will not require constant participation in the process. But it will take about 25-30 minutes to wait for the ready dish.
In the multicooker khinkali can be boiled either on steam or in water. In the first case, the process will take about half an hour, in the second 20 minutes. In the microwave, the product will be ready in 10-15 minutes at a power of 800 watts.
How to tell if khinkali are ready
Do not overcook the khinkali, otherwise the dough will start to spread. It is best to be guided by time. It is always indicated on purchased semi-finished products, how long the product is cooked. To finally verify that the minced meat is cooked, you can cut a khinkali.
