5. Purple. Is the tallest variety. The flower is characterized by a powerful stem, which is up to 1.2 cm thick. The height of the plant is 0,7 m. The light pink lip of the flower stands out against the dark purple top helmet.

Gathering and storage

The culture is propagated both by seeds and by dividing rhizomes. The first option is quite complicated. It is much easier to plant a small tuber. The flower grows well in moist, but not waterlogged soil. Prefers to grow in penumbra, does not like the use of mineral as well as fresh organic fertilizers. It is best to grow the crop away from other grasses, as it will not grow well in mixed beds. When dividing the tubers, you should take the smallest of them. In a separate hole, it is necessary to put some soil from the mother root.

The collection of medicinal plant material is carried out at the end of flowering, when there is still a flower stalk.
